Blepharoplasty
Blepharoplasty – or eyelid surgery – involves refining and shaping the upper and lower eyelids to rejuvenate or redefine that area. In upper eyelid surgery an incision is made along the natural crease of the upper lid that allows the surgeon to remove excess skin drooping from the upper lid along with some of the fat underneath. For the lower eyelid, an incision is made just below the lower lash line and excess fat is removed and the skin is tightened. In both cases the incisions are hidden within the natural lines of the eyelid area.
